Fairmont State University’s Community Choir returns for spring 2023
Fairmont State University Performing and Community Arts announces the return of the Fairmont State Community Choir for the Spring 2023 season.
Director John Morrison welcomes back the wonderful and talented singers of the Fairmont State Community Choir after their beautiful performances last Fall. New members are welcome and encouraged to join the community choir this spring. Rehearsals will take place every Tuesday from 7:00-8:30 pm in Wallman Hall, room 229.
The Fairmont State Community Choir is open to singers of all backgrounds, and vocal ranges, ages 18 and up. The choir rehearses for various concert performances and collaborative performances with other choirs. Regular attendance at rehearsals is expected of participants. Prior choral experience and the ability to read music are encouraged but are not a requirement.
“There was such a great response to restarting the community choir last Fall and I look forward to their return,” says Choir Director and Accompanist John Morrison. “The energy and camaraderie amongst the singers is inspiring. It is truly a group of people who are there because they love to make music and they love to sing together.”
The 2023 concert season will include an April 28 choir concert at 7:30 pm in Wallman Hall
Theatre and a performance at the United Way Song of Hope Benefit Concert on February 25 in the Wallman Hall Theatre, located on the campus of Fairmont State University.
