Office of Social Services Impact

Office of Social Services

The Office of Social Services provides services and resources to assist in the overall social well-being of our students.

We assist with resources to support students and advocate for their emotional, mental and physical wellbeing. We are the link between schools, families, and communities that help students reach their academic achievements.  By engaging all parties and “hearing” what goes unspoken, we work to identify, address, and overcome these obstacles.

Mission

Our purpose is to create a physical and virtual campus environment where students are connected to services and resources that meet their needs to realize improved wellbeing, allowing them to thrive and accomplish their educational and post-graduate goals.

Vision

Our office values a long-term goal of developing a student who is increasingly independent and prepared for post-graduate success. Through our work, we seek to become the most esteemed model for social work as a student service within an institution of higher education by demonstrating concrete and measurable impacts on student wellbeing and persistence. The office will become a differentiating factor that sets the university apart and attracts students to an environment that fosters true social and financial mobility.
