Here are the points assigned for active participation in a CTLI professional development
activity:
- 1 point per 1 hour professional development AND completion of a feedback form with
the participant's takeaway
- 5 points per presentation or co-presentation per 1 hour of professional development
to account for preparation time
Example: A co-presenter prepares for a one hour session and presents for one hour.
This co-presenter earns 5 points for preparation and 1 point for presenting IF the
co-presenter completes the feedback form in full (including the co-presenter's takeaway).
After you participate in a CTLI-sponsored professional development session, you are
asked to complete a feedback form. The CTLI keeps a record of your active participation.
You are advised to also keep track of your participation (e.g., in Faculty Success). Use the CTLI Assistance Request Form to check on how many points you have earned so far this academic year.
Yes. You can earn up to 5 points for active participation in professional development
for each level. For example, if you earn 15 points from CTLI-sponsored professional
development and you can document active engagement in 5 additional hours, you can
earn the Professional Development Level 1 e-badge.
Use the CTLI Assistance Request Form and explain the kind of professional development you've engaged in. A representative
from the CTLI will contact you and provide you with ideas for how you can document
your active participation. For example, you may have presented at a conference and
you can provide a link to the conference site, your takeaway, and self-reflection.
Each professional development situation will be different, but the CTLI is here to
help you document your engagement.
The CTLI will normally contact you when you have earned an e-badge. Shortly after
you are notified, you will receive an e-mail from Accredible with instructions for
accessing your e-badge. If you believe you've earned an e-badge but haven't been notified,
please contact the CTLI using the CTLI Assistance Request Form.
Please use the CTLI Assistance Request Form or contact the CTLI at CTLI@fairmontstate.edu. A representative from the CTLI will reach out to you.
