Fairmont State University Faculty Member Selected as Signal Awards Judge
Fairmont State University Assistant Professor of Geography Barbara MacLennan has been
selected as a judge for the 2nd Annual Signal Awards. The Signal Awards honor and
celebrate podcasts and the people who create them. The Signal Judging Academy is made
up of esteemed podcasting professionals who have been making waves in the industry.
“As an invited judge, I’m excited to begin reviewing entries and help bring recognition to the innovative work being done in the podcast industry, especially in my areas of focus, including geography, spatial science, and the interconnections of human and physical geography,” said MacLennan.
MacLennan serves as a co-host on the podcast ‘Very Spatial’ which explores different topics related to geography and geospatial technologies. MacLennan’s ‘Very Spatial’ Co-Host and Virtual Explorer Frank Lafone, Director of Institutional Effectiveness will also serve as a judge for the Signal Awards. Learn more about the Signal Awards
