Fairmont State University to host prospective students at fall Maroon & White Day
Fairmont State University will welcome prospective students at its fall Maroon & White Day on Saturday, October 15.
Fairmont State hosts students each fall and spring for its large-scale, on-campus open house where traditional and non-traditional students and their families are provided the opportunity to explore the University’s offerings.
“We’re thrilled to welcome students and their families to campus for our fall Maroon & White Day,” said Fairmont State University Assistant Vice President of Enrollment and Student Life, Alicia Kalka. “Meeting face-to-face with students and their loved ones allows us to assist them in beginning their college journey, whether that be deciding on a major, discussing how to pay for college or choosing a residence hall to live in, we want them to know we are here to support them every step of the way.”
Maroon & White Day will begin with an opening session at 10 a.m. Following opening session, students will have the opportunity to connect with faculty from various academic areas and student organizations at the Academic and Student Life Fair. Breakout sessions will take place throughout the day, covering topics including financial aid, housing, student services, among others. Tours will be available to students and their families in areas of campus including academic buildings and residence halls.
“Maroon & White Day allows students to truly envision themselves on campus,” said Fairmont State University Director of Admissions, Summer Boggess. “Attending our fall visitation day will also provide answers to all of the questions prospective students and their families may have, so they can begin planning for their future as a college student at Fairmont State.”
Event registration will be available through Wednesday, October 12. To learn more or register, visit www.fairmontstate.edu/MWvisitation. For those unable to attend the fall Maroon & White Day, other visitation options are available at www.fairmontstate.edu/visit.
