Fairmont State to host students at A Day in the Life of a Nursing Student

Sep 07, 2022

On Friday, September 9, Fairmont State University’s College of Nursing will host high school students interested in pursuing careers as professional nurses at the “A Day in the Life of a Nursing Student” event, taking place from 9 a.m.  – 2 p.m. in the Education Building on campus. The aim of the event is to provide prospective students a glimpse into the life of a nursing student at Fairmont State.

Students in attendance will have the opportunity to meet with current nursing students and College of Nursing faculty, while participating in activities in both the Skills and Nursing Simulation Laboratories. Other educational programming activities to take place throughout the day will include a condensed nursing lecture, a discussion highlighting the nursing program offerings made available to students at Fairmont State, along with an information session to assist students to begin preparations for the TEAS exam.

“The College of Nursing is excited to offer the A Day in the Life of a Nursing Student event to prospective students,” said College of Nursing Dean, Laura Clayton. “This is a great opportunity to learn about nursing and all that you can do as a RN. We look forward to welcoming these students to campus.”

Event registration is available at apply.fairmontstate.edu/register/dayinthelifenursing. To learn more about the Fairmont State University College of Nursing, visit www.fairmontstate.edu/collegeofnursing.
