Marion County’s Only Chick-fil-A and Starbucks Reopen to Public on Fairmont State’s Campus

Fairmont State University invites the community back to campus to enjoy the area’s only Chick-fil-A and Starbucks. The University announced a phased reopening of its campuses beginning on Wednesday, May 5, with the University reopening Dining Services and Falcon Center restaurants to public patrons.

Among the dining offerings available are the only Chick-fil-A and Starbucks restaurants in Marion County. In addition to made to order meals and entrees, Chick-fil-A will provide bulk order options for customers including nugget trays and gallons of iced tea and lemonade. The University has also reopened its Dining Hall for full-service buffet options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“We value the opportunity to provide dining services to our community,” said Christa Kwiatkowski, Fairmont State University Vice President for Administration and Fiscal Affairs and Chief Financial Officer. “We take pride in the diverse offerings made available to our students through the University’s Dining Services, and we look forward to making these options available to our community once again.”

Customers can easily access Falcon Center restaurants through the Squibb Wilson Boulevard campus entrance. Upon entering campus, guests will find directional signage to the Falcon Center where visitors can access the building through the back entrance. Metered parking is available between the Education Building and the Falcon Center for the convenience of campus guests.

Chick-fil-A, Starbucks and the University’s Dining Hall are open throughout the week on a condensed summer schedule. Please see the operating hours for each restaurant below.

  • Chick-fil-A – Monday – Friday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Starbucks – Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Dining Hall – Monday – Thursday:
    • Breakfast 8 – 9 a.m.
    • Lunch 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    • Dinner 4 – 6 p.m.
  • Dining Hall – Friday
    • Breakfast – 8 – 9 a.m.
    • Lunch – 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

“We’ve worked closely with the Marion County Health Department and in consultation with other state agencies to create guidelines allowing for guests to enjoy our campus offerings again,” said Matt Swain, Fairmont State University Chief of Police and Emergency Management Director. “We’re thrilled to see the community back on campus, and we are looking forward to welcoming our entire Falcon Family to campus in full capacity as we conclude our phased reopening in June.”
