Dan Cava and family continues partnership with Fairmont State

Fairmont State University takes pride in strong community partnerships such as with the Cava family. Dan and Machelle Cava and their family of Dan Cava Toyota World agreed to a five-year sponsorship agreement that will give the dealership the official naming rights to the court inside Joe Retton Arena. The court will now be named Dan Cava Toyota World Court. 

While this isn’t the first gift made by the Cava family, Dan and Machelle’s son, Santino, said he hopes it won’t be the last. After graduating, Santino plans on learning the ropes at the dealership. 

“My dad has always been a huge part of the community and me stepping up to run the business, I want to be a big part of the community,” he said. “Dan Cava will still be a huge part of Fairmont State and in Bridgeport. We’ll continue to do things like this, if not more, and we’d like to do more in the coming years.” 

Santino mentioned how much they love the work Coach Joe Mazzula is doing at the University and the way the University is headed in general. 

“We do this for Fairmont because we know Fairmont State is really what drives the city of Fairmont. If Fairmont State is doing well, then the economy of Fairmont is good and we do well,” he said. “We’ve always been connected with the sports program.”
