Community comes to campus to 'Eat Mor Chikin'

Sep 24, 2018

With great community support, the Community Grand Opening and Open House for the new Chick-fil-A dining option at Fairmont State was a great success.

While the community was welcomed to visit and dine at the first full-service Chick-fil-A in Fairmont, they were also able to enjoy a free ice cream buffet, a bounce house, games for children and an open gym.

Freddie the Falcon as well as the Chick-fil-A Cow were there to interact with the community and take pictures.

Jeff Swaim, Aladdin food services director, said the support and turnout from the community was great.

“We just want to welcome the community to come out and see us anytime,” he said. “Chick-fil-A is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.”

Event attendees who ate at Chick-fil-A were able to enter into a drawing for a variety of raffles. Winners of those prizes were chosen Monday morning and are as follows:

  • Falcon Center pool party -Charles Browning
  • FitBit -Roger Martin
  • Fairmont State Swag Bag -Renee Allison
  • Video game -Chris Haymond
  • Mountain Bike -Frankie Witt

The community is invited to patronize Chick-fil-A and Chilaca, which offers authentic Mexican cuisine of tacos, burritos and bowls prepared-to-order with fresh ingredients.
