Performance of the Summer: Mozart’s Requiem

The Fairmont State University department of music is excited to announce the performance of the “Mozart Requiem” on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at 5:00pm at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Morgantown, West Virginia.The performance is free and open to the public. A goodwill offering will be collected.

The concert will feature the Fairmont State Community Chorus and the West Virginia Community Choir as they join forces to perform an evening of choral delight.  Conducting duties will be shared by Dr. Kym Scott, Director of Choral Activities at WVU, and Dr. Sam Spears, Director of Choral and Vocal Activities at Fairmont State.  John Morrison will accompany on the organ.  “I am very excited about the collaboration between these two wonderful choirs,” said Dr. Spears.  “The Mozart Requiem is a landmark work, and we are so pleased to join together to share it with our community.”
