Kotchman, Harrison Named To MEC All-Tournament Team
Fairmont State's Sierra Kotchman and Kelli Jo Harrison were each named to the Mountain East Conference All-Tournament Team on Sunday afternoon
following the conclusion of the women's championship game at the Charleston Civic
Center.
In addition, Harrison, a senior from Poca, W.Va., also earned the 2018 Commissioner's
Sportsmanship Award for the 2018 MEC Tournament.
Kotchman, a freshman from Washington, Pa., led the Falcons to the semifinal round
for the third-consecutive season after averaging 20.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.5
assists in two tournament games on Thursday and Saturday. Kotchman totaled 20 points,
nine rebounds and four assists in Fairmont's quarterfinal victory over West Liberty,
before chipping in 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists against Glenville in
the semifinals.
Kotchman recorded the fifth-highest scoring average in the tournament.
Harrison earned both of her honors after averaging 17.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and
3.0 assists. Harrison recorded the fifth-highest field goal percentage in the tournament
at 51.5 percent (15-of-29) from the field. Harrison recorded her 10th double-double of the season with 17 points and 14 rebounds in Fairmont's quarterfinal
win over WLU, before wrapping up her career with 17 points, nine rebounds and four
assists in the semifinals on Saturday.
