Fairmont State Counts Offers Free Math Tutoring
The Fairmont State University Counts program is planning for its spring 2017 session to be held on the main campus in Fairmont. The free math tutoring program is offered to fourth- through eighth-graders who are experiencing math difficulties.
The program is supervised by Pam Kabulski and coordinated by Brenda Cain. The one hour/once a week sessions, which run for eight weeks, are offered Mondays at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. and Wednesdays at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. Students may attend one or two days each week. The program starts the week of Feb. 19 and runs through the week of April 18.
Fairmont State tutors, who are proficient in math, aid children in developing their math skills. Kabulski, a Marion County math teacher, is the on-site supervisor for the program and will be present to assist each tutor and student.
