Interviewing 101 Workshop Offered April 13 & 14
Students, do you struggle with answering common and challenging job interview questions? Interviewing 101, a new workshop created by the Career Development Center, can help.
The workshop is open to all Fairmont State University students and will take place at 2 p.m. April 13 and 12:30 p.m. April 14 in Room 217 of the Turley Student Services Center.
Interviewing 101 will cover the basics of how to conduct a professional interview from what to wear and how to act to how to answer tough questions. Students attending the workshop will learn how to answer interview questions such as: What is your greatest weakness? What are your three greatest strengths?
“We hope to provide the students with an interactive program where they each get placed in the hot seat, and have the ability to learn from each other. Interviewing 101 will not only be beneficial for students looking to interview for jobs, but who are also applying to professional and medical schools in which an interview is part of their application process,” said Meagan Gibson, Career Counselor. “We hope students leave more confident and prepared, and also will seek to utilize our officer services for other career and professional development needs.”
