The directors, Troy Snyder and RJ Nestor, are seeking to fill 20 to 25 roles for adults (ages 16 and older) and eight to 10 roles for youth (ages 10 to 15). The choreographer is Susan Cato-Chapman. Performances will be June 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24 and 25 at Wallman Hall.
Auditions for adults are scheduled for Sunday and Monday, April 24 and 25, in Wallman Hall Room 314. Dance and singing/acting auditions are required. Dance auditions will take place from 6 to 6:50 p.m. each day and those participating should dress to move. Singing/acting auditions will be from 7 to 9:30 p.m. each day and those participating should call (304) 367-4219 to make an appointment.
Auditions for youth are Sunday, May 1. The dance audition is from 5 to 5:50 p.m. and the acting audition (young Cain and Abel) is from 6 to 6:30 p.m. in Wallman Hall Room 314.
Those who plan to audition should be prepared with an up-tempo song and a ballad (16 bars max) of a musical-theatre style song and to read from the script. The show includes a lot of group choreography that will be strenuous but not complicated. Auditioners should bring headshots.
