Alumni, New Students Invited to "Fairmont State on the Road"

The Fairmont State Alumni Association and the Fairmont State University Office of Admissions and Recruitment are teaming up to welcome the newest members of the Falcon family.

            A series of “Fairmont on the Road” celebrations are planned across West Virginia and in Virginia. Following is the event schedule:

• 5 to 8 p.m., April 6, Wheeling – TJ’s Sports Garden Restaurant, 808 National Road, Wheeling.
• 5 to 8 p.m., April 8, Winchester, Va. – Piccadilly’s Public House, 125 E. Piccadilly St., Winchester.
• noon to 3 p.m., April 9, Martinsburg – Buffalo Wild Wings, 796 Foxcroft Ave., Martinsburg.
• 5 to 8 p.m., April 20, Parkersburg – Buffalo Wild Wings, 100 Lakeview Drive, Parkersburg.
• 5 to 8 p.m., April 22, Beckley – Buffalo Wild Wings, 214 Cross Rd Drive, Mt. Hope.
• noon to 3 p.m., April 23, Charleston – Quaker Steak and Lube, 2931 Mountaineer Blvd., Charleston.
• 1 p.m., April 23, Bridgeport – Bridgeport Recreation Complex, 425 Forrester Blvd., Bridgeport, includes FSU baseball game and food.

“In addition to celebrating their acceptance to FSU, the incoming class members and their families will have the opportunity to meet with Admissions staff and local FSU alumni who are excited to share their favorite FSU memories,” said Amie Fazalare, Director of Admissions and Recruitment and a member of the Class of 1990.

Admission is free, and those who attend will receive an exclusive FSU T-shirt. Dress for the event is casual.

“Alumni, your stories are invaluable, and we encourage you to come out and share them with the next generation of Fighting Falcons,” said Emily Swain, Director of Alumni Relations and a member of the Class of 2006. “If you know a high school senior who is interested in or accepted to FSU, please invite them to attend an event near you.”
