Women of Color Luncheon Planned for March 31

Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College will host the Women of Color Luncheon: A Celebration of Diversity and Achievement on Tuesday, March 31.

The keynote speaker for the event will be Jotwyla R. Moore. A native of Fairmont, Moore is an author, teacher and speaker, who loves to empower women. As the wife of Kirk M. Moore, she serves as the Assistant Pastor of Restoring Life Ministries Incorporated of Morgantown.

She received her education at Fairmont State University and is the founder of the Launched Out Ladies Women’s Ministry and also is the host of the Ladies In Waiting Empowerment Breakfast.

Her commitment to helping others is evident through her lifestyle of service. Along with working as a Documentation Specialist for the Northrop Grumman Corporation, she serves as the HealthWaves Campus Coordinator for the Fairmont Campus. Moore also hosts Bible study meetings, retreats and workshops to promote unity and sisterhood and to empower women in all areas of life.

The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, in the Falcon Center third floor conference rooms. Lunch is $10 per plate.
