FSU Counts Offers Free Math Tutoring

Feb 04, 2014

The Fairmont State University Counts program is planning for its spring 2014 session to be held at Fairmont State. The free math tutoring program is offered to students in grades four through eight, who are experiencing math difficulties.

The program is supervised by Pam Kabulski, a Marion County math teacher, and coordinated by Amy Drvar, Assistant Director of Career Development and Civic Engagement Coordinator for FSU. The one hour/once a week sessions, which run for eight weeks, are offered Mondays at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. or Thursdays at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. The program starts Feb. 10 and 13 and runs through April 14 and 17.

Fairmont State tutors, who are proficient in math, aid each child in developing his or her math skills. Kabulski is the on-site supervisor for the program and will be present to assist each tutor and student.

For more information, contact Amy Drvar at (304) 367-4644 or send an e-mail to FSUCounts@fairmontstate.edu. Registrations can be completed online on the FSU Civic Engagement web site by clicking here.
