Job Fair Planned for Feb. 27

Feb 15, 2013

Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College students, alumni and members of the community interested in employment are invited to attend the annual Job Fair hosted by the Office of Career Services.

More than 50 companies and agencies are registered to attend the event. The fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the Falcon Center, Gym 1. For those who are not current students, paid parking is available in the parking garage. Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and to be prepared to discuss career opportunities with employers.

“The fair provides students, alumni and community members the opportunity to network with employers representing a wide variety of areas,” said Sally Fry, Director of Student Development. “Freshmen through alumni are encouraged to attend the fair to learn more about current and future employment opportunities as well as internship opportunities.”

The fair will consist of an open forum allowing students and alumni the opportunity to gather career and employment related information from employers, as well as the opportunity to submit their resume for interview consideration.
