Leadership Marion Hosts Sen. Manchin on Campus

Apr 04, 2012

Leadership Marion Class XXX hosted a breakfast event featuring U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin on Wednesday, April 4, on the shared main campus of Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College.  Leadership Marion is a program for people who are motivated by commitment, involvement, understanding and enthusiasm in an effort to foster leadership and stewardship in the community. The main theme of Leadership Marion relates to civic-oriented leadership with its overall mission of empowering others to increase their participation in the life of the community. Graduates of the program are invited to join the community service-oriented alumni group called Action Marion.

Todd Anderson, right, a graduate of Fairmont State and a former member of the Fighting Falcons football team, works for Sen. Manchin as his North Central West Virginia regional coordinator.
