FSU Presidential Candidate Visitation Schedule Announced

The Fairmont State University Presidential Search Committee has announced the visitation schedule for the final candidates for the presidency of the University.

“The campus visitation schedules include meetings with a variety of key stakeholders throughout the University family and the community,” said Ron Tucker, Chairman of the FSU Board of Governors. “The Presidential Search Committee encourages faculty, staff, students, alumni and the community to attend their respective meetings with the two final candidates.”

The visitation for candidate Dr. Maria C. Rose, Interim President, Fairmont State University, Fairmont, W.Va., will take place Wednesday and Thursday, April 18 and 19.

Rose’s schedule for Wednesday, April 18, will be as follows:

• Meeting with FSU faculty members, 3 p.m., Room 303, Education Building.
• Meeting with FSU deans and President’s Council, 4 p.m., Room 303, Education Building.

Rose’s schedule for Thursday, April 19, will be as follows:

• Meeting with the Marion County Chamber of Commerce and community members, 8 a.m., Board Room, third floor, Falcon Center.
• Meeting with FSU alumni, Fairmont State Foundation, Fairmont State Athletic Association, 9 a.m., Board Room, third floor, Falcon Center.
• Meeting with representatives of Pierpont Community & Technical College, 10 a.m., Board Room, third floor, Falcon Center.
• Meeting with FSU staff members, 11 a.m., Board Room, third floor, Falcon Center.
• Meeting with FSU students, 1 p.m., third floor, Falcon Center.
• Final interview with FSU Board of Governors, 3 p.m., Board Room, third floor, Falcon Center.

The visitation for candidate Dr. Timothy G. O’Rourke, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Virginia Wesleyan College, Norfolk, Va., will be Monday and Tuesday, April 23 and 24.

O’Rourke’s schedule for Monday, April 23, will be as follows:

• Meeting with FSU faculty members, 3 p.m., Board Room, third floor, Falcon Center.
• Meeting with FSU deans and President’s Council, 4 p.m., Board Room, third floor, Falcon Center.

O’Rourke’s schedule for Tuesday, April 24, will be as follows:
