Fairmont State University Honors 2010-2011 Retirees
Eight Fairmont State University employees were honored during the annual Retiree Reception. Faculty, staff, retired FSU and Pierpont Community & Technical College employees and the community gathered in the Turley Center Ballroom to honor 2010-2011 retirees.
Dr. Maria Rose, FSU Interim President, presented the FSU retirees with individual plaques for their years of service to higher education.
“As I look across this audience, I see dedication and diligence,” Rose told those gathered for the event. “I see proper priorities and perspectives--that our students always come first. I see reliability and high levels of competence. I see educational excellence. All of these traits are due, in part, to each of the retirees being honored here. It is through your dedication to passing on these values to those new to the institution that we are able to foster a community of caring for our students.”
The following FSU faculty members were among the retirees:
James Goodwin, Associate Professor of Technology, Department of Technology, 1971-2011
