Job and Career Fair Planned for March 2 in Falcon Center

Feb 24, 2011

Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College students, alumni and members of the community interested in employment are invited to attend the annual Job & Career Fair hosted by the Office of Career Services.

More than 75 companies and agencies from eight states are registered to attend the event. The fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, in the Falcon Center, Gym 1, on the main campus in Fairmont. For those who are not current students, parking is available in the parking garage at a cost of $2. Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and to bring copies of their resume to leave with employers.

“The fair provides students, alumni and others the opportunity to network with employers representing a wide variety of areas,” said Sally Fry, Director of Student Development. “Freshmen through alumni are encouraged to attend the fair to learn more about current and future employment opportunities as well as internship opportunities.”

The fair will consist of an open forum allowing students and alumni the opportunity to gather career and employment related information from employers, as well as the opportunity to submit their resume for interview consideration.
