Fairmont State Alumni Association Seeks Nominations for 2011 Alumni Awards
It’s not too late to nominate! The Fairmont State Alumni Association is seeking nominations for Outstanding Alumni, Alumni of Achievement and Outstanding Young Alumni Awards for 2011.
Each year, as part of the Homecoming festivities, six alumni are chosen to receive awards in the above areas based on the following criteria:
• Outstanding Alumni – Graduate of Fairmont State or Pierpont prior to 1986, who displays loyalty to Fairmont State and/or Pierpont, is successful in chosen career, serves community and exhibits ethical behavior and exemplary character.
• Alumni of Achievement – Graduate of Fairmont State or Pierpont, who has achieved a high level of success in chosen profession and is recognized for professional accomplishments, service to the community, ethical behavior and exemplary character.
• Outstanding Young Alumni – Graduate of Fairmont State or Pierpont under the age of 35 during the year of nomination, who is successful in chosen career, displays service to the community, is recognized for professional accomplishments, maintains communication with Fairmont State and/or Pierpont and exhibits ethical behavior and exemplary character.
To nominate a worthy candidate, please send the name of the nominee along with a letter of recommendation outlining why he or she should be considered for an award to Emily Swain, Interim Alumni Director, by March 1, 2011, at Emily.Swain@fairmontstate.edu.
