WesBanco Endows Scholarship to Benefit FSU's MBA Program

Mar 24, 2010

WesBanco Marketing President Stephen F. Decker, left, and Senior Vice President and Trust Officer Aaron L. Hawkins, right, present to Fairmont State Foundation, Inc. Interim Executive Director A.P. Perkinson the signed agreement establishing a new WesBanco Business Graduate Degree Endowed Scholarship at Fairmont State University benefiting the Master of Business Administration program.

This is the second endowed scholarship established by WesBanco, which previously endowed the WesBanco Bank Fairmont, Inc. Scholarship Award.

"Much of Fairmont State University's success can be attributed to the continued support of our community business partners like WesBanco," said Dr. Tom Krepel, FSU President. "Private support is vitally important in creating opportunities for students, like this scholarship. The support of private giving helps FSU create a talented and productive workforce."

FSU's MBA program is intended to serve the needs of the state with particular focus on the needs of employers in North Central West Virginia. Organizations such as the FBI, NASA, DOE, NIOSH, Mylan, local hospitals, the WVHTC Foundation, software and biotech firms and others in the state need employees with human resources and project management skills
