Three Qualify for National Debate Tournament

Debaters from the Fairmont State University Intercollegiate Debate Team recently competed at the National Forensics Association National Championship Tournament.

Fairmont State University had three qualifiers this year with two making the trip to the tournament. Dominick Pellegrin, Nick Oliveto and Dustin VanPelt, all of Fairmont, qualified for this year's national tournament. Oliveto and Van Pelt competed and posted wins in the tournament.

Debaters must qualify at regional tournaments held throughout the year to participate in the NFA Championships. This championship tournament features the best intercollegiate debaters from across the country
