Goodwin Elected VP of State Mathematics Council
Dr. Susan Goodwin, Fairmont State University Professor of Mathematics, has been elected as Vice President for College/University by the West Virginia Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
She will serve a two-year term, representing all college-level math teachers in the state on the Executive Committee of the organization.
Goodwin earned bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematics at West Virginia University. She holds a doctorate in mathematics education, also from WVU. Known for exposing her students to a wide range of math manipulatives and technology, Goodwin has been involved in the West Virginia Blue Ribbon Mathematics Partnership and the Fairmont State GEAR UP partnership.
