Families Can Attend Health Fair & Carnival

Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College will host a Family Health Fair and Carnival on Friday, March 27.

Sponsors for the event, planned for 6-8 p.m. in Falcon Center Gym 1, are Student Government and the Student Advisory Council. Admission is free and open to the public. Activities are geared toward families with children ages 12 and younger.

Various student organizations and Student Affairs departments will provide fun, interactive carnival booths and games. There will also be an inflatable bouncy house for small children, free prizes and refreshments.

"A popular attraction last year was the Kids' Karaoke station, where the children got to be the stars on stage. Many of the smaller children couldn't even read the words on the Karaoke machine, but they sure knew how to dance and sing into the microphone. We are happy to announce that Kids' Karaoke will be back this year," said Laurie Johnston, Director of Student Activities.
