Science After School Program Begins March 3
The Science After School enrichment program at Fairmont State University, taught by elementary preservice teachers under the direction of Dr. Deb Hemler, geoscience education coordinator, and supervised by Angela McKeen, science methods instructor, begins Tuesday, March 3.
The Tuesday evening elementary section (K-6) runs from 4:30-5:30 p.m. March 3, 10, 24 and 31. (There will be no class the night of March 17 due to FSU's spring break.) The theme for this program is "Under the Sea." Students will explore deep sea environments, ocean life, the ocean floor and will doing hands-on, minds-on activities.
The elementary (K-6) evening sessions will be divided into two groups: primary and intermediate classes. The primary classes (K-2) will be taught in Room 302 of Hunt Haught Hall and the intermediate classes (grades 3-6) in Room 106 of Hunt Haught Hall on the Fairmont State campus.
