Four Named to FSU Board of Governors
Gov. Joe Manchin III announced today, July 2, the appointments of four members to
the Fairmont State University Board of Governors.
H. Skip Tarasuk Jr., James Kettering, Ron Tucker and Mark Pallotta, all of Fairmont,
will replace outgoing board members Larry Mazza, Carl Friebel Jr., James Griffin and
Michele Casteel. Casteel held the seat designated for the chair of the Pierpont Community
& Technical College Board of Advisers. The terms of Tarasuk, Tucker and Pallotta will
end June 30, 2012. The term of James Kettering will expire June 30, 2011.
The four join Chairman Andy Kniceley, Vice Chairman Rocco Muriale, Secretary Shirley
Stanton, Janet Crescenzi and Robert Kittle on the board. Donna Trickett will continue
to serve as classified staff representative. Dr. Galen Hansen will replace Leslie
Lovett as the faculty representative, and Shawn Ragsdale will replace Shane Livingston
as the student representative. The three representatives of campus constituencies
are elected by their respective constituency group.
The Fairmont State University Board of Governors determines, controls, supervises
and manages the financial, business and education policies and affairs of FSU.
