Community Music Program Registration Open
From July 30 to Sept. 30, Fairmont State University's Community Music Program will
be accepting fall registration for private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, percussion,
woodwinds and brass.
A piano class for beginners ages 6-8 is held on Wednesdays for students who do not
have a piano at home.
All lessons are available for beginner to advanced students with teachers who have
a master's degree or the equivalent in their teaching field and have considerable
teaching experience. Technique, music reading and music theory are main components
of the program. Lessons are held in Wallman Hall on the FSU main campus and at the
Gaston Caperton Center in Clarksburg.
Recital and other performance opportunities, including the annual Music-O-Rama, are
available but not required.
In-person registration will be Saturday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to noon in Room 304
of Wallman Hall. Registration is also accepted by mail.
