Women of Color Luncheon Honors 3
The Fairmont State University Women of Color Luncheon recently honored three outstanding
women "one member of the Fairmont community and two FSU staff members.
"The Women of Color Luncheon is an opportunity to honor women who have shown a commitment
to treating everyone equally, regardless of color," said Persis Bates, Director of
Multicultural Affairs. "Their passion for the uplifting of their community is also
recognized. Women from the campus of Fairmont State are also recognized for their
celebration of diversity."
Judy Grant Lampkin Bussey was the honored community member. Sue Conrad and Jane Delbrook,
both employed by the Office of Student Affairs, were recognized for their dedication
to treating students with kindness and respect.
Amena Oliver Anderson was the speaker for the event. Jamal Womble was named as the
recipient of the Horace and Geraldine Belmear Outstanding Academic Student Award.
