Marching Band Plans Band Camp

Jul 17, 2006

The Fairmont State University Marching Band will be conducting its 2006-2007 band camp during the week of August 14-18 on the FSU main campus. Any incoming Fairmont State student who has marching band experience is encouraged to attend. There is no cost to attend the camp, and room/board will be provided during the week.

This year the marching band will be performing pre-game music that highlights Latin/jazz styles, as well as the Fairmont State Fight Song and the introduction of "Hail the Falcon Rule the Sky" a second fight song arranged for the band, inspired by the late Robert Pizatella of Fairmont. The halftime show will feature the band's "It's Good to Be the King" tour that showcases music from film director Mel Brook's Movies "Blazing Saddles," "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" and "The Producers."
