A strong personal credit history is the first step in ensuring that a business will be able to access the working capital necessary to remain competitive in today's market. "Credit When Credit Is Due" is a nationally accredited 12-lesson financial education program designed to give small business owners and entrepreneurs the information they need to understand how credit and debt works and to develop responsible money management strategies that will positively impact their future plans for growth and expansion.

In addition to the workshop agenda, participants will have the opportunity to meet several local, state and federal small business and economic development representatives to discuss financial programs and services designed to establish, expand and maintain local businesses.

The Small Business Development Center is partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration and through such funding does not constitute an expressed or implied endorsement of any of the co-sponsors or participants opinions, products or services. All Small Business Development Center workshops are co-sponsored by the West Virginia Development Office. Reasonable arrangements for handicapped individuals can be made by contacting the Small Business Development Center at (304) 367-4920 at least one week prior to the event.
