Music-O-Rama Planned for May 6

The Fairmont State Community Music Program will present its 13th annual Music-O-Rama on Saturday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sears Court at the Meadowbrook Mall in Bridgeport. Students in the "Music for Kids after School" and "Music for Adults" programs will participate in the event.

At 10 a.m., there will be information booths and free consultations about music study available through the Community Music Program. There will be free music performances at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. presented by current students.

The Community Music Program offers year-round class and private music study for ages 5 and older. Study in voice, piano, strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion is available.

Artist faculty performing at the Music-O-Rama will be James Atha, piano, (Caperton Center); Stephanie Adlington, voice (Caperton Center and main FS campus); and Nancy Bird, piano (main FS campus).

Summer Music Programs, which will be announced at the Music-O-Rama, will include the West Virginia Youth Orchestra and Chamber Music Festival (ninth grade through high school ages), Piano Camp (ages 6 through high school) and the Born to Entertain class (ages 6 to12 years).
