Play 'LoveTV' to be Performed in Jan.
Darkhorse Productions will present "LOVETV," an original, hour-long multimedia stage
production, at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 21 and 22, in the Wallman Hall
Theatre at Fairmont State.
"LOVETV" is a sequel to the play "Calling Dr. Love," which was performed in August
2004. "LOVETV" is a play made to look like a television talk show such as "Oprah"
or "Dr. Phil." Douglas Dobbins, who wrote and directed the play, stars as Dr. Jack
Love, the host of the show. Dr. Love presents live information and video clips to
the audience regarding communication and matters of the heart, culminating with a
surprise visitor at the end of the show.
Dobbins, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, is joined in the cast by Michelle Tomlinson
from Los Alamos, N.M.; Tanya Miller from Albequerque, N.M.; and Juli Peterson of Napoleon,
Ohio. Other cast members are lending either their voices (Karyl Lyne from Las Vegas,
N.M.; and Steve Leach from Monongah) or their images (Steve McElroy from Fairmont;
Jesse May Dobbins from Barrackville; and Taylor Menas from Grant Town).
Admission is free and open to the public.
