Cost of Attendance

The Estimated Cost of Attendance includes direct and indirect educational expenses for a full-time student during the fall and spring semesters. Direct costs are those paid to the university, such as tuition and fees. Indirect costs are other expenses you may have, such as rent or books and supplies.

Actual charges will be available approximately one month before the start of the semester once you are registered for courses. To view your billing statement, log into your myFairmontState account, navigate to the Quick Links section, and select Pay/View My Bill.

  • On-Campus Room - Based on the median residence hall rate.
  • Food - An estimate for 3 meals per day.
  • Transportation - An amount sufficient to cover average driving costs to campus.
  • Personal - Miscellaneous personal items for the academic year.
