Community Resource Fair

Friday, August 23, 2024

Thank you for visiting our webpage. You have been directed to this registration page, because we wish to extend your office/organization a special invitation to our annual Campus Student Organization Fair.  The Campus Student Organization Fair is part of the broader 2024 Welcome Week programming.  Fairmont State will welcome its newest group of students to campus, and we want to provide students with the opportunity to become acquainted with services and organizations on our campus and in our community. To ensure high participation and encourage our students to participate, we will have prize drawings throughout this event!

Once an RSVP has been submitted, specific instructions will be sent to the point of contact. If you would like to reserve a space, please complete the electronic form below (deadline is 4 PM on Friday, August 9). Please review the form thoroughly and contact us should you have any questions by emailing StudentActivities@fairmontstate.edu. A confirmation message will be sent to each registrant closer to the event.

Guidelines

Registering & Participation

Each invited office/organization MUST register in advance to attend the fair. Offices/Organizations will be allotted one (1) eight foot table to display information and place giveaway items. Giveaways are not required but highly encouraged. Tables will be located outside on the campus quads, so plan and dress accordingly (sunscreen and water are a good idea!). Businesses may bring up to two (2) representatives to staff the table at a time. Check in with Student Activities staff at the Falcon Center entrance for table assignment and further information upon arrival.

Promotions & Messaging

Keep in mind that all messaging/images should be appropriate for the college setting – no references to alcohol, for example. Special promotions are certainly encouraged, but should not directly include mentions of activities/items that do not align with the institutions’ missions and with higher education values.
