TEAS Exam Impact

TEAS Exam

At this time, the LEAD Center will not be offering TEAS exam sessions nor do we have TEAS-specific tutors. However, students can still book sessions with our tutors to receive test-prep assistance for a specific portion of the exam. Please stop by the front desk, book on Navigate, or email us at lead@fairmontstate.edu to schedule an appointment in your desired subject area (i.e. reading, English, mathematics, and science).

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a four part assesment consisting of reading, English, mathematics, and science. Students interested in admission to the College of Nursing must take the exam as part of admission requirements.

Remote

Students can search for testing locations and register to take the TEAS exam directly through ATI with remote proctoring by using the "ATI Remote Proctor - Nursing" program. If needed, students can utilize the library's second and third floors or book a study room to ensure quiet, low-distraction testing environments. For help registering for a remote exam, including computer access, students should email lead@fairmontstate.edu. If students take the TEAS exam with ATI, you will need to manually send your scores to Fairmont State. To do this, after finishing the exam, click "My Results" and choose "Send Transcript."

In-Person

Students who prefer to take the exam in-person can do so by registering through ATI. Currently, the closest location to Fairmont State University is Pierpont Community and Technical College. Students will need to send their scores to Fairmont State after taking the exam.
