Our mission is to provide support and resources to equip students and alumni for lifelong professional and career development.

You can help by:

• Encouraging students to use our resources and to attend our workshop events.
• Relaying information about employer presentations and our annual Career Fair.
• Registering your students for Handshake, Fairmont State University's online job board, which is their connection to employers and job opportunities. 

Use class time for career development opportunities for your students. We provide presentations and workshops on a variety of topics including:

• Introduction to Career Services
• Effective Interviewing
• Cover Letters and Resumes
• LinkedIn: Getting Started and Establishing a Profile
• Major/Career Connections
• And more!

Partner with us to incorporate resume critiques and mock interviews into your curriculum. In order to better help students, we now require students to meet with us for resume help prior to critiquing resumes. 

Please complete the required fields below to request a workshop from the Career Development Center. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. Please allow a minimum of two-week notice. We also hold similar workshops throughout the semester, so you can encourage your students to attend these.
