Flower Sale to Benefit Caritas House

Jan 31, 2006

Representatives from Caritas House, Inc., a non-profit agency that provides services to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS in the 25 North Central counties of West Virginia, will be on the campus of Fairmont State on Tuesday, Feb. 14.

They will be staffing a booth on the second floor of the Falcon Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to sell flowers for Valentine's Day and to inform students and staff about Caritas House's volunteer program.

Volunteers are vital to the success and continuation of Caritas House, and they hope to encourage some of the staff and students at FS to sign up as volunteers. Educational brochures and safer sex materials will also be available at the booth, free of charge.

For more information, please contact Laurie Johnston, FS Director of Student Activities, at 367-4705. You may also contact Eric Simpson, Caritas Prevention Education Coordinator, or Leah Rye, Caritas Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator, at (800)796-5699. This event will be co-sponsored by Fairmont State Student Government.
