National Architectural Accrediting Board approves Initial Accreditation for Fairmont State’s Master of Architecture program

On Friday, May 19, the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) announced they approved the Initial Accreditation of Fairmont State University’s Master of Architecture program. The NAAB is the sole accrediting body for architecture programs in the United States and it ensures that graduates are appropriately prepared to enter the profession.

Fairmont State Volleyball Releases 2023 Schedule

The Fairmont State University volleyball team and head coach Travis Hinkle unveiled its 2023 schedule on Tuesday (June 27). The schedule includes 32 regular season matches with 15 to be played on the floor of Joe Retton Arena in Fairmont.

Fairmont State now offering scholarships for Falcon Day Camp this Summer

Fairmont State University’s Falcon Center will welcome back its 6-week Falcon Day camp this summer from June 19 until August 4. Recently the Truist West Virginia Foundation and the Walmart Community Foundation gifted the Falcon Center with a grant so that families of children ages 6-12 can receive a full or partial scholarship for up to 3 weeks of camp. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is May 31, 2023.

Fairmont State hosts Marion County high school students on campus for Information Systems Management Day

Fairmont State University welcomed approximately 100 high school students from Fairmont Senior High School, East Fairmont High School and North Marion High School to campus for Information Systems Management (ISM) Day on Thursday, May 11. Students were exposed to the vast and constantly evolving field of Information Systems Management and participated in two breakout sessions of their choice pertaining to different ISM topics
