Buckley to Present Piano Recital

Natalie Camele Buckley, Artist Teacher of Piano with Fairmont State's Community Music Program, will present a faculty recital at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in Room 229 of Wallman Hall at Fairmont State. The recital is free and open to the public.

Buckley is a candidate for the degree Master of Music in Piano Performance at West Virginia University. She holds the Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with a Piano Major. Buckley is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and is proficient in teaching piano to students of various ages and abilities. In addition to being a member of the piano faculty with the FS Community Music Program, she has teaching experience at WVU as a private and classroom lab teacher and has taught privately for the past several years.

Buckley has also appeared in numerous solo and ensemble recitals and has done significant work in aiding young pianists in a program for Piano Rewards for Achievements. She will be joining the Piano Camp staff for the 12th annual Piano Camp at FS planned for June 13-17.

The April 19 program will include the following works: Debussy's Preludes I and XII; Beethoven's Six Variations in F Major, Opus 34; Chopin's Four Mazurkas, Opus 33; Billy Joel's "Fantasies & Delusions;" and "Eubie's Lucky Day" by Bolcom.

Buckley has been on the staff of the CMP since the fall of 2004. On April 30, she will appear as soloist for the 12th Annual "Music-O-Rama" at Meadowbrook Mall. Call (304) 366-3758 for information.
