Caperton Center to Participate in College Goal Sunday

Jan 11, 2013

The Gaston Caperton Center in Clarksburg will be one of 23 locations throughout the state to host the annual College Goal SundaySM event on Sunday, Feb. 10, presented by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.

Students and parents can receive assistance completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) during the free workshops.

The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Caperton Center, 501 West Main Street, Clarksburg. The Caperton Center offers classes for Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College. For more information about the Caperton Center, click here.

A full list of site locations, times, items families should bring, and other details is available through the College Foundation of West Virginia (CFWV), the state’s college access web portal, located here

Financial aid experts will be on hand to help students and families complete and submit the FAFSA and explore additional financial aid resources that may be available.

Online pre-registration is recommended, but not required for participation in this free workshop. Anyone planning to attend college next fall can participate, including graduating high school seniors, returning college students or adult students interested in returning to school to earn a degree or certificate.
