Free summer recreation for teens at Fairmont State’s Falcon Center

May 29, 2024

Indoor view of Falcon CenterFairmont State has initiated a summer recreation program for teens, which will be available starting May 13 until August 17. The program allows teens access to Campus Recreation areas in the Falcon Center including the fitness center, weight room, studio fitness rooms, indoor track, basketball courts, pool, spa and sauna, and access to any planned programs.

“Our primary goal for this program is to provide a place for teens in the community to work out, be exposed to fitness, have fun with friends, and experience a college campus firsthand without having to worry about the cost,” said Director of the Falcon Center Spencer Flanagan. “Fitness and Wellness opportunities for our kids are more important than ever right now. A public institution serves the public, and we hope that by offering these free memberships we can serve our local youth and their families.”

Teens ages 13-15 will have free memberships with the purchase of an eligible adult pass. 16 and 17-year-olds can get a free membership with parent or guardian consent. Those under the age of 16 must have a parent or guardian accompany them while using the facility.
