Fairmont State Day at the Legislature to Take Place Friday, January 14
Fairmont State University representatives will travel to Charleston on Friday, January
14 to highlight the University’s offerings at the West Virginia State Capitol during
Fairmont State Day at the Legislature.
Students, faculty and staff will be available at the Capitol to discuss Fairmont State
programs and other opportunities made available to students with legislators and members
of the state executive branch. The Student Government Association in addition to representatives
from Recruitment and Admissions, the Fairmont State Alumni Association, among others
will be in attendance.
“Fairmont State Day at the Legislature is a such a great opportunity for our community
to share the transformative opportunities we continue to provide to the constituents
of these elected officials,” said Fairmont State University President, Mirta M. Martin.
“And we understand that we could not provide these opportunities without the steadfast
support of the Legislature. We are true partners in educating a skilled workforce,
and the next generation of citizen leaders. And that benefits all West Virginians.”
