Director of the Jazz Ensemble, Neil L. King, has played professionally with many talented musicians and orchestras including the Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra, The Huntington Symphony Orchestra, Christian McBride, Benny Golson, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Bobby Vinton and says, “The concert promises to be a delight to all who attend.” The Fairmont State Jazz Ensemble is composed of students who enjoy playing jazz instruments. Audience members will be entertained with the traditional sound of jazz music as distinct jazz instruments, such as the saxophones, trombone, trumpets, and a rhythm section join together to create one of the most recognizable sounds in music.
