Calling all bakers to the community pepperoni roll competition
Do you make the best pepperoni rolls in town? Prove it during our inaugural Fairmont State Alumni Association Community Pepperoni Roll Competition on Thursday, October 18. The event will be held in the Falcon Center on Main Street.
"The pepperoni roll is a Fairmont staple and what a fun way to bring our community together," said alumni association director Ashley Knight. We hope local businesses, community members, departments on campus and students will participate."
There is no cost to enter the competition. Entries should include two dozen full size
pepperoni rolls. Each team will have a 4
ft. table space for setup. Participants are encouraged to decorate their entry table
to represent their organization. Setup begins at 11:30 a.m. and judging will be at
noon.
Judges will vote separately for the best pepperoni roll from campus organizations
and outside businesses. Winners will be
announced at the Community Bonfire and Pep Rally Thursday evening, not to mention
take home some serious bragging rights and alumni gear.
