Fairmont State Marching Band announces free stadium review concert
The Fairmont State University Falcon Marching Band will present its annual Stadium Review Concert in Colebank Hall at Fairmont State University at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14. The concert will feature music from the pregame and halftime shows, and include stadium favorites as well.
Join the Fairmont State University Falcon Marching Band as they showcase their breadth of talents to the community. The Stadium Review Concert is your chance to experience great music and entertainment that can be enjoyed by the entire family. This special concert will also include the Color Guard routine.
The Stadium Review Concert is a great opportunity for the community to support the spirit and pride of Fairmont State. It’s also a great opportunity for future and current students to gain an understanding of the effort and enthusiasm that goes into each performance.
“The Stadium Review Concert is a great opportunity for our marching band students to really showcase all of the musical accomplishments that they have been working on since the beginning of August,” said Robert Hickey, Director of Bands.
“This year, in addition to the challenging show music, one of our biggest challenges was welcoming so many new members to the group. Since last season the Falcon Marching Band has seen an increase of membership by 27 percent. While the new members worked their hardest to learn our style of marching and music, the returning members provided support for all of the new members to quickly acclimate them to our marching band. Within weeks it was difficult to tell who was a new or returning member. It is a great testament to the hard work and dedication that all of our Falcon Marching Band members exhibit on a daily basis.”
The concert is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
