Masquers Theatre Group Collects Donations for The Nest

Jan 05, 2015

The Fairmont State University Masquers theatre group collected more than $700 in monetary and material donations for The Nest, the FSU student food bank, during the December 2014 performance run of "It's A Wonderful Life." Pictured are Masquers members Katie Groover, Lindsay Morgan, Brandon Lee, Gary Hayes and Craig Birkmeyer.

Originally located in the Ruth Ann Musick Library, The Nest is now located on the second floor of the Falcon Center across from the Student Government office, which is near the side building entrance closest to Prichard and Morrow halls.

The Nest is open for students from 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fairmont State or Pierpont Community & Technical College students who would like to receive food should bring with them a valid student I.D. Although students who have a current meal plan with Fairmont State or Pierpont are not eligible to receive donated food, they can receive donated personal hygiene items.

Non-perishable food donations should be dropped off only during these hours of operation. Monetary donations should be directed to Meagan Gibson, Student Government Advisor, whose office is located in the Turley Center. For more information on monetary donations, contact Gibson at (304) 333-3665 or e-mail Meagan.gibson@fairmontstate.edu. For more information about The Nest, call (304) 367-4282 or visit FairmontState.edu/nest.
