Alumni Association to Host Picnic at the Park

Fairmont State University alumni and friends, as well as their families, are invited to attend the third annual Picnic at the Park on Sunday, Aug. 24, in Harrison County.

The Fairmont State Alumni Association will host the event from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, at the Overlook Shelter at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Clarksburg. Jaws BBQ will provide lunch, and activities for kids are planned.

“Fairmont State is proud to be Harrison County’s university. For the past two years, this event has brought out many of our Harrison County alumni and friends, and we look forward to another great gathering this year,” said Emily Swain, Director of Alumni Affairs. “We encourage you to bring your lawn chair and join us at the picnic to connect with other alumni and enjoy a family day at the park.”

Admission is $10 per adult and $5 per child and can be paid upon arrival to the event. Splash Zone tickets can be purchased separately at the Splash Zone admission gate. Those who wish to attend should RSVP by Aug. 18 by calling (304) 367-4015 or e-mailing eswain@fairmontstate.edu.
